This is from one of our distributors explaining the difference between 7 oh and kratom:
7oh Is NOT Kratom. At Steding & Sons, our priority is the well-being of our customers. I love kratom and have been a consumer for 12 years. Many people have stated that they turned to kratom after years of struggle with dangerous substances, in an effort to turn their lives around. We believe that it is dire that those seeking to make healthy choices are educated on the vast difference between kratom and 7oh. 7oh tablets are not kratom. According to Dr. Chris McCurdy and leading kratom researchers, 7oh does not exist, in traceable levels, in the natural plant. 7oh is a metabolite. A small portion of the mitragynine may convert to 7oh during the drying process, but 7oh is mostly metabolized in the body, once a person consumes kratom. We believe the body has natural defense mechanisms. When directly consuming 7oh, these systems may be bypassed. 7OH PRODUCTS ARE NOT KRATOM EXTRACT, THEY ARE SYNTHETIC 7oh Products are created using a chemical conversion process to convert mitragynine to 7oh in a laboratory. These products are not natural. Natural kratom contains < .02% 7oh. 7oh products are manipulated to contain up to 99%+. According to the National Institute of Health, 7oh is 20x stronger than morphine, OF COURSE it’s flying off the shelves! But at what cost? 7oh products may have a significantly higher potential for abuse and adverse events than kratom. Anecdotal evidence of the safety profile of kratom is based on 100s of years of consumption of the natural plant, which does not contain 7oh in traceable amounts. In many U.S. States that have passed a Kratom Consumer Protection Act a product may not legally be sold as kratom if it contains a 7oh content exceeding 2% of the total alkaloid profile.
